Rai followed the two and dropped down, grabbing a disruptor from one of the fallen guards and holding it firmly in his hands. There was a brief moment where a rush of anger surged through his whole body as he looked at the all too familiar weapon. The green accents on the sides, the weight in his hands, it was a weapon that had the power to kill millions. Wearing the Republic uniform whilst also carrying the favourite weapon of the Tal Shiar felt... So wrong. But at the same time there was a part of him that didn't want to let go. 'You can run, Rai, but you will always come back to the Empire because we are Romulan, Romulans will always serve Romulans.
After spacing out for nearly two minutes, Rai was pulled from his thoughts when he heard his teammate call out to him and that's when he remembered their mission. "Yes, first let's establish forcefields on this deck, then try to gain access and disable the whole ship, weapons, shields, warp, we want to make sure the Rapture can catch us," Rai was speaking to Cory, but his eyes were still on the gun. His gaze narrowed and his hands pulled at both sides of the weapon until , 'crack', Rai tossed the two halves of the disruptor to the ground and walked over to Cory, breathing heavily, but he was free.
